Creating constitutes visual artist Elizabeth O’Connor-Cowley’s existence. Her work is bold, naïve representations of selected subjects inspired by her immediate surroundings. Great importance is placed on the manipulation of universal elements – colour, form + line and the exploration of the spirit of space.

“Colour is my absolute obsession. I love creating atypical colour combinations and exploring the relationship between hues and tonal shifts”.

Throughout her childhood, Elizabeth was obsessed with drawing, colouring-in, cutting + sticking and making things in general. Nothing much has changed. Her entrepreneurial characteristics and passion for all things creative has lead Elizabeth to forge a career which allows her to explore her creativity in a variety of mediums.

Elizabeth lives and works in Brisbane, Australia with her husband Philip and two sons. She is the founder and creative Director of children’s lifestyle brands eeni meeni miini moh/e3-M and enjoys working in a variety of creative disciplines whether it be painting and making art (her instinctive passion), graphic design or textiles.
